CBI - closed today above both the 21 and 34 ema's. Observe price in recent history relative to these two moving averages. Also, note the pattern of the 21 ema vs the 34 ema. A 21/34 ema bullish crossover is likely to occur if CBI is able to pull off an upside break of the declining tops trendline.

18:45, Monday 1/3 - ATI Cramer is bullish on Allegheny Tech

Cramer believes it will be one of the best performing stocks of Y06. He says that titanium is the best natural resource due to its life blood - the aerospace industry; Jim says that ATI is the best titanium play there is. Cramer says that the demand for titanium will reach an all time high in Y06. (Note

competitor that rallied strongly in 2005 until the recent pullback:

http://stockcharts.com/gallery/?tie

from 12/19 -

Tonight on Mad Money: Cramer is bullish on Allegheny Tech (ATI) : With raising fuel costs, titanium has become essential to the airline industry - as planes made with titanium are lighter and thus use less fuel.

from 12/9 (Longbow is the analyst that in May correctly picked TIE to rally) -

Allegheny Tech: Shares of TIE getting expensive, buy ATI - Longbow (ATI) 33.77 +0.35: Longbow believes the valuation on TIE has become somewhat extended in recent days and see a risk to owning the shares at the current price level. They see considerable upside to the shares of ATI based on the upside to earnings and the potential for multiple expansions as the shares disconnect from steel group trading behavior. They still believe investors should rotate into later-cycle plays such as RTI International Metals (RTI) and ATI which have much more attractive relative valuations.

from 12/9 -

Allegheny Tech raises dividend 67% to $0.10; expects 2006 capital investments to approximate $225 mln (ATI) 33.81 +0.39: Co raises its quarterly dividend by 67% to $0.10. Co expects capital investments for 2006 to approximate $225 mln, primarily aimed at growing ATI's high-value product capabilities. "Our major end markets remain strong, and we are well-positioned to fully achieve ATI's opportunities in 2006 and beyond... We are confident in ATI's ability to continue to generate strong cash flow over the next several years.

here is what I posted elsewhere on May 6th, so you have the history of what Longbow said on May 6th regarding TIE, which is evidence they know the sector: TIE - up $2 today moving close to 52wk high of $40.50 1. this week WSJ highlighted 148k insider buy 2. today Longbow starts with buy and $50 tgt citing improving sector fundamentals and leverage to comml aerospace 3. their product is also used in armor plated trucks in Iraq Moved above the upper BB today on above avg volume....it can hug the upper BB when it is moving, as in the move from 30 to 40.50 in a short period. ----------- btw, I posted my TIE long exit real time and the reasons here at TT in December
