People are still dip buying, expecting an up day for tuesday.. so I figure a gap and run day.

Then as fear builds up, we get a reversal on wednesday. Then the x-mas rally going into new year.

What's going to cause the gap and run on Tuesday morning?

IT

IT, all the people who kept buying the support between Qs 43.3. As I was posted weeks ago that there was a huge futures position that kept adding around at those price levels.

Whatever news doesn't matter. Da boyz will push it, knowing that bulls are weak right now. Whatever it is will get exaggerated.

And lets say that all the santa rally retail investors as I've shown via odd-lot and others will feel the heat first thing. Then they'll capitulate first, which will cause a cascade which will cause those futures positions to drop.

All just a POSSIBLE scenario. I'm not saying it will definately happen this way. Its just something I've put together from the evidence I see right now. Been wrong before.

Btw one POTENTIAL news item is the AAPL options reporting.. they are supposed to file this sometime before end of this year. If it was tuesday and it causes AAPL to gap down, the Qs can gap down too?

DCengr, you had a very good call yesterday, sorry I appeared to be doubting you (due to my sarcasm), I actually covered on the gap down-like sell off in the morning thinking that was all the bears would get. At the moment, a little further weakness can go all the way to the lower support, however the small and mid caps are not quite telling the same story, if the USD found a good support here, it can bounce well. Too bad, I will not be able to trade next week, but I will check time to time...

You can doubt me all you want. Sometimes I doubt myself too . Nothing's certain in this game. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't :).
