Well, looks like oil and gold might have topped. If they have, the equity market won't be far behind. This whole proposition now, after slaying the housing beast is faced with the monumental task of turning the chip group around. I'll state this categorically - If the SOX does not climb and maintain 500+ here, this is OVER...our best indication of the immediate future is going to be predicated on whether these things get happy and RUN or they start breaking down. If they start breaking down that is an immediate flashing red warning indicator.
So far volume is UNCONVICTED...

When the Volume Rumbles the Sox will tumble (SOX Watch 6/3/06)
We are right back to where the semiconductors broke down hard on 6/5/06 at 475 ... Of course you don't see the intraday charts from then posted, but there was a 20 min. pause that day, when a SJ Mercury story hit the tape on options backdating. The street waited to see if anyone would come in and buy that news and when it didn't... it was see you later. So that's where we are now, they are waiting to see if there's buyers here. So far the results not impressive...
