his story is pretty crazy. Tradebot Systems started with $25,000 in 1999, and now it's trading $BILLIONS per day.
Sounds like another long term capital in the making.

Tradebot Systems Inc. trades an estimated 3 percent to 5 percent of all shares exchanged on the Nasdaq market each day, founder and CEO Dave Cummings said.

Tradebot trades 50 million to 100 million shares a day. Anywhere from 1 billion to 2 billion shares trade daily on Nasdaq.

That means billions of dollars worth of equities pass through Tradebot's software-driven trading system each day. At any given time, you might walk in and see that the firm has traded 20 percent of Yahoo! Inc.'s daily volume.

...

"We're 13 percent of Microsoft (volume) -- right here in North Kansas City," Vos said, his eyebrows raised and grin widening.

These systems were robust enough to survive the post 911 meltdown.. I figure odds are low that they're gonna get screwed in a crash eh?

I think they will initially accelerate the process once the limits are exceeded. But normally they are very short term oriented and trend based systems.
