If this was the top and if it crashes here all due to one product, I'll laugh my @ss off.

I'll tell you; I was talking about this full screen phone idea for over 3 yrs to my friends saying how much screen space would be saved instead of wasting the space with the keys etc. I think the product is very strong with all of the additional ipod features, Apple will make a lot of money with this product...

Steve Jobs video presentation

PS. the entire presentation is a big ad campaign, but I am glad they choose my current wireless carrier Cingular, I guess I will get it eventually...

The irony is that cell phone industry is slowing, nokia, motorola, their stocks were taking a dump on reduced margins (ie no one's buying the expensive phones).

Here comes AAPL with an expensive phone in a maturing market, and its stock goes way up.

Typical bull market termination sentiment. Get all the sheeple to board the titanic.

I've never commented about the stock value or what it might do because of the new product, but the product is definitely well polished and nicer than the ones I've seen. The price is expensive like the other PDA phones, but I think people will continue to buy as the prices moderate to more affordable levels. I would think $200-250 range is when the demand would probably pick up much more. So, they will sell it first to the high end customers first, then start to come down within 6-12 months, imho...
