Reversed Head and shoulders only work on a down trend as a trend reversal signal. Not on an uptrend.

[/quote] Hmmmmmmm In Edwards & Magee's book, "Technical analysis of stock trends" (the "Stock market Bible") from 1948, 5th edition 13th prining they are defining "Head-and-Shoulder Consolidations", which are, when in an uptrend, inverted H&S patterns and, in a downtrend, normal H&S patterns. But what did they know in those days. We are smarter now - right? stig

that's not true......4th wave bottoms can be in the form of an inverted H&S pattern.
