Is this analysis done strictly on the price pattern of NDX and nothing else?

No.
The NDX pattern recognition is done on Price and Volume.
The Signal is based on the pattern recognition prediction signal and, more recently, a filter that I have added to the signal. The reason being, the PR signal gives a general trend prediction over a couple weeks, and does not give the best entry exit points... hence, the adding of the filter.
But the straight PR prediction signal did not do too bad last year, by itself.... up 30% versus about 10% for the NDX.
