IMO the pullback/consolidation today is the bottoming of the nominal 3 to 3.5 day cycle.

NYSE nominal 5 wk price projection posted on 1/19 achieved today, new all time high at 9311.

higher projections remain on broad indexes.

NYSE Comp new closing high and reaches the upper end of the 5 wk price projection range from that previous post. overshooting projections is indicative of a bullish cyclic uptrend. IMO more to come.

Shouldn't the nominal 3-3.5 day cycle to which you refer actually run about 4.3 days???

newcal, not based on my implementation of Hurst's phasing methods. how are you determining that?

Something very unsophisticated, I'm afraid. 10 week cycle = 20 days 1/16th +4.375. I know nothing of Hurst's phasing method.

newcal, in hurst's work he used calendar charts, and made them available for his course users. the hurst nominal model cycles i mention are adjusted for weekday only charts. thus, the nominal 10 wk cycle has recently averaged approx 48 weekdays in length. 5 wk apprx 24 wkdays. each smaller cycle 1/2 of the larger.
