Ok, I know these stocks are no good because they have low PEs. But NBR (for example) is making a pretty good move here mid-day. For what it's worth.

take-over rumor. I am all over that one, waiting to jump off before end of day - I have trailing stop at 31.15 now

Yes, there seem to persistent buy out rumors that crop up. Today is not the first day. The company usually denies them as they did today. There seems to be a belief that the market price could be attractive to a private equity type firm.
