Sentiment has really been subdued for over one year.
It got fairly high in December but has cooled off since.
AAII has not seen 70% since Jan 2006, while the market has zoomed up.
Look at the below 30 reading at THE 2006 bottom.
(And some say sentiment doesn't work.)
Sentimentrader.com longer term is bullish but shorter term it has been close to neutral for 2 weeks.
How about an AAII 70% or maybe even an 80% before an important top?

Your thoughts jibe with T-Terry's suggestion that a new 7-month "T" may be underway that could "become very speculative".... mm

Roger, this is one thing that really worries me. I'll write more on this in my blog today. Many declines come from rather benign sentiment readings.
