Nasdaq and OEX are set to plummet sharpy tomorrow. It will likely be a heavy volume range expansion day with both indices breaking below 50 dmas. Also NYA is showing a similar formation, price and volume wise. Expecting a broad sell off like the one we had on Friday. But this one coming on volume.

I am not sure how they can know who sold what... It is illegal. Bear Stearns can not disclose it. The only way I can think of they watch the tape and speculate. But it is almost impossible to track because Bear Stearns' Prime Bear utilizes algorithms to optimize the sales. You can order a single block but you wont get a good fill and it serves no purpose.

The rythm of the market says we just kissed something goodbye. If I only knew whether it was a top or bottom. :P

As Hayrake used to say, turn it up . . .

xD, I also think a sell off of some sort is given, but I am not sure about the quality of the sell off like you expect --I am not trying to fade you though, the equity P/C is way too high today. Of course, it is kind of unlikely that the investors who spent billions in the calls last week turned super bearish today with only a 2 day sell off. So, I suspect today's put buying came from the different dealers or traders, the securities lending supports this view that it is kind of less public selling. During the previous lows, the securities lending always showed a spike ahead of the high equity P/C bottoms, it is not the case at the moment despite the sharp pull back so far... - kisa

I see Equity 0.77, not that high, CBOE 1.18, little high. So someone bot index puts. Who buys index puts? Mostly those that holding index contracts. It was March 2004 or 2005, Opex week, there was a massive put open interest nearby, and it spiked more on CBOE ...I thought it was gonna hold the market... the market swoon perpendicular nonstop for about 60 SPX points in a few days. Cut my breath. I was long. Anyway, this option stuff tricky. I mostly observe OEX options thats all.

Expect the 'rally' to be sharp with few pullbacks. We will touch DOW 12725 on Tuesday
