Shift OTC Dynamic Bull $150,022,617 This all came out of the Money Market fund and it had been there for a while. Somebody has waited a while to go 2X long the Naz.

Mark: I know you track Rydex activity. However, I have been wondering what the impact of new competitors i.e. ProShares, ProFunds etc. has had on the Rydex number implications. Have you performed any type of study or have any any insights? MDW :)

Zen calls him/her/them "Flipper". He is excitedly bullish about it, what with it occuring on the heels of "Flipper's" 3.44% loss on the inverse trading side.

$150 million ! how often do you see moves like that, I guess that must be a rare event ?

The ETF's are playing havoc with the Rydex numbers. One needs to take sales with a grain of salt. Buys, however, mean a lot more. Bigger Buys of non-Dynamic funds are especially telling now.

There's an ongoing exodus from Rydex and that's a major aberration factor. I'd love to find good ways to similarly track the flows in and out of Bull and Bear ETF's.

It's not common, but it happens often enough. Usually at turns, though that's NOT a lock. Take a look at the RSO. Big shifts usually entail a big buys.

I concur with spielchekr. Zen has been tracking him for a good while, and has recently started posting Flipper's moves. This is a new position according to Zen. I don't know how Zen sees the size of individual positions. Perhaps Mark you could provide a link to where you saw the $150m trade.

This guy has been erratic lately, he's been flipping $50-100M so often that you would think he must be managing a billion or two at least...

Yanno, there are still quite a few advisors at Rydex. If there are 10 who have $50-100MM each, then it's not hard to get some $100MM shifts at any one time. It doesn't have to be just one big guy. This one, does, however, seem to be one buy (though it could be a couple of folks with the same idea. Mark
