I am sure many have already reviewed many similar charts. I thought I would post some that I have been keeping an eye on. Clearly VIX is at a very key point on a long-term basis. [attachment=5354:attachment] In 2000 we had a very similar sequence with volitility IMHO. [attachment=5351:attachment] 2007 we tested the prior low in Aug, 4 times, we are now below the price level we were at on all 4 tests. [attachment=5352:attachment] CPC looks to just be getting started. [attachment=5355:attachment] This is CPCE. The credit for the chart goes to a poster who no longer posts here (a trader very interested in sentiment). I have erased the settings from the chart. I will be looking for the MA to turn up [attachment=5353:attachment]

SPX:VIX is also interesting here.

It looks to me like one should be looking for a reason to go long depending on the timeframe for the trade. As you can see in the chart of the 2000-2001 timeframe these setups were very reliable and tradable throughout the bear market.

I have run out of storage space for attachments but I will post the addresses and hope it works...
