hi mike, I don't forex trade, but I am always interested in positioning accounts into certain currencies. I have to admit to getting it quite wrong this year on the $CDN this year and should be a lot longer than we are. I don't intend to anything about this right now though. What do you see as intermediate trends for the major currencies going forward? Thanks. cheers, john

Longer term perspective is as follows: the low price to watch is 7819...this is the low achieved in the last six years and I'll come back to this later. My present cycle count indicates that the US$ has one more leg down. The key dates to be watching are: 9/25, 10/8 and 10/18. Currently, my working hypothesis is that it will near 7819 and there will be an upcycle thrust to approach 8004 area [for what Elliott wavers would probably call an A wave; those on the board know I am not a 'waver']. If 7819 doesn't hold, then we are on the way down to the 62 level....[I am including a qutoe I made in some correspondence earlier this year: "I expect the USD to fall in the future, possibly as much as 25% more in this trend cycle. The [deleted] problem is that the other G7 currencies, e.g. Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound etc. will not be all that strong either Good trading MDW :)
