Any one familiar with this gents work? If not, his book is out of print and goes for a handsome price on Amazon like $400 for used and $1200 for new so I had to see what all the fuss was about. He also runs a hedgefund. Anyways I was waiting for a good deal on his book came my way however I came across some of his work in an article series he did and it is free. So I attached to this post and you and I dont have to buy the pricey book. In others its free.

Also I attached a link to a video by Murray A. Ruggiero Jr who did some back testing using the ORB method with recent data in a basket of markets.
The first video is no strings attached the second video you have to register but it is free as well. Also below is a link to Futures Magazine where he shares some of his backtesting results of the ORB method along with detailed results available for download in excel all for free.

FYI - mypivots.com lists all of the Crabel ORB signals daily by symbol for free.

Thats what I like, scientific back testing documented in video and text by the best minds in the business for free.

This post is pure money baby. I've done some testing on this idea before
without success, but I've seen real trades based on these ideas that
make a [bleeeep] load of money. It takes a lot of hard work, but the ideas
are solid. This is the post of the month in my book. Mechanical systems
are the way to go...

Thanks,

D

Thanks for the kind words. I thought the material was documented and presented well so I thought others would enjoy as well. The excel files are kewl as it allows you to see how the various approaches perform in diff markets ie managed futures.
