As noted before -- worth a shot "where the trend line meets the Bollinger band," with the usual tight stops...

all quiet

Agree this is where it needs to bounce. But the one that bothers me is GG -- daily appears to have fallen out of the chute, and maybe all we get is a backtest - ?

Yeah, GG does look a little anemic. So don't buy GG until (and if) it comes to life. There are plenty of goldfish to fry and they all pretty much swim together.

My stop at the moment is today's low on GDX (GDX makes all this rather easy to play). The last thing I want is any back test since the best trades go your way the second you take them.

beta,

Looks like you may have called it here. GG truly sucks (to say nothing of ABX) and appears to be indicative of the sector at this juncture. Holding my GDX stop on yesterday's low but not got a lot of hope.

Got sell signals today on GLD and DGP, so flushed ABX, FCX, moved stop on GDX to break even, and tightened stop on BVN (might make some there). Pretty sluggish here so far and agree with goldswinger's post today that there is better action elsewhere. :o Watching NEM for a future swing.

Took profits today on BVN. Still holding a break-even stop on GDX since I don't really have a sell signal. This is not much of a trade across the board. Don't like those black candles in the chart above but looking back they are at times the prelude to the next blast and so, as Mother Mary used to tell the Beatles, let it be, let it be...

Long again but just for a counter-trend swing off the four days down in GDX. Nice bounce so far across the sector. Stop at today's open.
