Pretty low volume selloff after hours. Nothing is certain, look how AAPL did today despite the after hours action the other night. Also, BIDU did well after hours but that hardly makes me want to go long, nor does MSFT make me want to short.

I guess it depends on your timeframe...and what you are short... AAPL opened lower this morning, did it not? AAPL is going back down to test 159.98 from here, then we'll see if it's got what it takes to get that $179...

Right, but it still opened quite a bit higher then it traded after hours the prior day. What time fram are you thinking? I was assuming ST?

If you read my last nite forecast, you'll note I was positive on AAPL coming into today. I'm not positive on MSFT here. I think we're going to test lower. The setup is a little different for tomorrow, we still had some upside left coming into today, I don't see that for tomorrow... I see a down day even if they jam the open.

Good point, Semi. Today's high hit the 62% Fib on the nose, so pullback to 147-159 then forward to 185 (.78) makes sense.

I picked up the 160 puts at close. Check out the bearish Gartley in the making (daily chart) ...

On a fundamental level, AAPL's warning on future guidance should be taken seriously. This is a CONSUMER DISCRETIONARY stock (even if some think an iPhone is a "must-have" ), and says alot about the health of the global consumer.
