Going Long,..playing with the houses money,..well and then some ;) Trying for a little bounce short term trade has a smaller chance at winning than I'm used to ,...this is a very aggressive trade but sell offs like this is when it can work out.

SP hasn't filled the gap yet and this breadth portends more downside tomorrow. maybe some capitulation tomorrow and reverse? looks like we will fill SP gap these last 5 minutes. that would make for a great headfake and gap up tomorrow but i would rather sleep tonite. wow this is gonna be one ugly close.

So are you saying that there is some rule out there and that is why the trade is poorly timed for entry?

17 of the last 20 occurances with breadth this bad (Rut) had lower prices the next day. That doesn't mean the next day can't close up for any of those 17. I guess if you want to call it a rule then I'll will claim it. What should I call it?

with luv ziggy ;) lets do this ...if tomorrow post a gain for the markets ..let's call it meaningless. If tomorrow some how erases all of today's losses let's call it crap. and if tomorrow has some follow thru to the down side let's call it coincidence. I can point to the RuT chart and show multiple scenarios for all of the above over the last months but with the oscillators where they are we usually bounce.

well I do agree that there are no buy signal on even the one minute chart ...so admittedly playing counter to a big sell off is a bit risky and you have good reason to doubt the entry as being profitable soon. But heck it would make for a nice inside day!

We have a long way until the close but for the record the markets are up .5 to 1.25% and have been higher. Although not exited, the position entered at the close yesterday would of delivered approx .84% for the RUT trade, and higher for all other long dynamic rydex funds.
