So far with the Rut down 2.5% I'm feeling fairly smart exiting with the 5% gains made yesterday. This is the dip I expected,,..now I'm thinking I take a quick short first,... and then flip into a buying position. Not yet determined tho Timing is everything! ;)

It would of been a great flip,.. and another 5% gain,..if that where the case I would be taking half off and holding the other half till the close and then I would be either sitting in cash or taking a small long position that I could add to tomorrow on further declines. Here is why I go into the theoretical,..to put myself on track. I almost moved into a long position this morning,..I would of added to that at the close. I decided to wait and observe my theoretical position,... and that is why I'll wait until the close,...and enter into my long position. I'm looking for a lower close and a better entry long,...as I stated in my post yesterday as I exited looking for a pullback to buy. The morning trade is always a bit tougher to nail because Rydex has a window of 15mins for trade cut off and execution, where as the close is 5mins before the close! I'll see you folks at the close.

Why don't you just trade the Direxion 3X funds? Can trade as often as you like anytime, just like a stock.

It's really no big deal for me to lock into the Rydex time frames. I've done successfully for so long it's become part of my lifestyle.

I've taken a multi year vacation from sitting at a pc all day and making hundreds of trades. I decided to do more with my day in rebuilding a california company.

I'm also happy to say we've made the turn,..and stopped laying off, stopped our hourly cutbacks and have actually been hiring.

We are growing quickly again, but it still amazes me to see lines of 40-50 people show up for interviews.

Trying to do my part to rebuild America one tiny step at a time.

Good for you Mr. Dev. in rebuilding America. I think things are probably going to get worse in future years though. As for Direxion, you still have the choice to trade them less frequently.

Mr. Dev - glad to hear that business is building for someone.

If you don't mind me asking, what industry are you in?
