Mt. Redoubt, located about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage Alaska is supposed to erupt anytime. Last time it covered Anchorage in several inches of ash and stopped all normal life for a few days. This time, I'm ready

You obviously live in Anchorage? I heard the mosquitos there in the summertime are as big as sparrows.

I've been to Anchorage several times. It's probably my favorite city in the world. It has a frontier feel. My guess is people will either love or hate it. The climate isn't that cold as it's on the water (go inland and the temp gradient drops rapidly). If you like the outdoors you'll love Anchorage.
