Down Jones paper index, what does it mean?

Can anyone comment on the significance of this index (http://stockcharts.com/charts/gallery.html?$DJUSPP) being at an all time low? Does this have something to dow ith the internet or a reflection of a really struggling business sector? Just looking for insight. thnx

Lumber at all time low. Trannies too. Something fundamental going on, no?

No new home construction, and very little small commercial construction = no demand for lumber. 4 years ago, it was in peak demand.
Wooden truss plants are shutting down.
It's a great time to replace the boardwalk at the beach.

Slowing economy 4 sure but also a sea change in the news business. Newspapers are losing readership by the day. It's an internet world.
