EOM as they say. Keep it simple. Trade with the trend. When we get a bullish trend, we'll trade long. Meanwhile... mm

Was today bullish enough for you?

Yes! Everyday gets bullisher.
I'm doubling down at SPX 200.

You know how many of my doctor friends would take a government paycheck in a heartbeat? Stop spending half our time with insurance forms, eliminate the insurers who are sucking the money out of the sytem, treat people, don't worry about the money? Latest poll shows 67% USA docs ready to go to "socialized" medicine. The insurers are crooks. Good riddance. Let's get on with treating and caring for people, not jumping through hoops for the insurers. mm

Hey, I agree. However, I have this sneaky feeling its not about treatment & practice. Its about replacing one Enron with another.

Maineman, I have an idea. Most of us pay our own health care or a portion of it. If we lose our job then we get to pay the high price of Cobra. All of our Congressmen and Senators get free healthcare even after they are out of office.....Let's make them play with the same rules we do.... I'll bet things would change.

I know this off topic trading, but here's the solution. The problem is that we have a mostly socialized system now, but not 100% and so its not a real "free" market either. So no one asks the price, shops around, minds the pennies. So here's the solution: Take away all subsidies for 2 months. ALL insurance. If patients want something they have to pay. but they have to ask what its going to cost, what the alternatives are, what the evidence is for the treatment, etc. the average patient expects a blood test, an x-ray, an EKG, a CAT scan, etc. etc. But what does it cost? Can i get over this "cold" without a blood test and a chest x-ray doc? Is there something other than a 90 dollar antibiotic? Gee, I didn't realize a CAT scan was 1000 bucks, is there something else we can do? you start introducing that into the system and the system will correct VERY quickly.

That is very wise and very true.

Small business owners know about this. Most of us self insure for at least part of our health care.

It blows my mind how much health care folks are ready to consume at the drop of a hat. I'm not just talking about neurotic moms with kids and the old and infirm. I'm talking about relatively healthy, younger folks.

There's no price discipline.

I have close relatives who are medical doctors. They order every test, whether needed or not,
to cover their behind from potential malpractice suits.
