This year I am trying to think what will spur Christmas sales this year..... Usually video game consoles are popular, but there haven't been any new ones for 3 years. The Smartphone market is another area that will be robust, but many people already have smart phones so the market is already 40% saturated. Windows 7 is here, so I do think there will be some new computer sales, but many homes are already running Vista, so there is not a real need for new hardware. HD televisions will be somewhat popular again, but I doubt it will beat last Christmas Sales..
We'll probably buy a Wii for our family... I assume I can find one this Christmas, since most homes with 3rd graders or higher already has one.... I just can't find a big driver this Christmas, so I think Christmas sales will be disappointing...
Biggest gadget I see in the Apple Nano Ipod. Anybody else have any ideas?

I agree, Dasein. Crafts from locals are good.
QQQQ , perhaps you solve two problems by stuffing everybody's stockings with Cub Scout popcorn.
Not going to happen... We usually don't spend too much on Christmas presents. We buy each of our 3 boys one or two small gifts, and then a bigger gift for all three of them... For others we make Jams, Jellies, and perserves.. For others....we pick fruit in season, freeze it, and then make a few batches of jelly over the holidays...
