Seemingly unlikely as everyone is hoping so.
The market catches almost everyone on the wrong side. We always seem to get fake break out before that huge dump or the hugh dump before the false break down! Trade Safe!

How many I-phones can they sell that makes that big of an impact on quarterly earnings? Their PC's are too expensive. I believe the reaction (not necessarily the earnings report) will be a disappointment.

Hi cycletimer, thanks for your view on AAPL. :)

The sentiment on Apple has become decisively and almost manipulatively negative the past week. The stock has not rallied and has consolidated around 190.
Cramer set the final volley Friday night for the post earnings sell off.
The 3Gs mfg constraints issue causing an inability to meet demand I think has been fabricated by a short boutique firm and happened to catch fire before earnings.
The fact that Nokia is failing and RIMM was not blockbuster IMO points to the theory that the iphone is selling like crazy and it will show once again that it is whipping RIMM and NOK.

I believe the earnings will be blockbuster and they will beat even the whisper number at 1.60.
If Google is any indication that a stock who has had a monster run can still surge, I believe Apple will surge.

The initial reaction may be down but this stock is clearly headed for 200 and higher by year end.

I notice the bloggers at Seeking Alpha have also begun their iphone smearing campaign as has low class Verizon and their stupid Droid ads.

I think the negative stage is set for a rally.

Cheers!

They can and will sell a bunch. The PC is not too expensive, you get what you pay for and NO virses, and NO crashes, and NO pop up ads, right out of the box.

Got their largest monitor, auto back-up 8GB, hard drive 6GB, 6MB Cache, 1Mg ram, full M-Office and all installed at my door 3yr full warrenty.

$3100. Plugged it in and turned it on.

Will AAPL go to $225, maybe but it is going to consolidate around 190-200 for awhile.

WOMEN & CATS WILL DO AS THEY PLEASE, AND MEN & DOGS SHOULD GET USED TO THE IDEA.
A DOG ALWAYS OFFERS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. CATS HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT!!
Seemingly unlikely as everyone is hoping so.
I personally agree with this view. My expectation is that just as AAPL has been the trailblazer Northward for the past seven months, the reaction to its release will spark the inevitable correction the markets have been successfully avoiding thus far.
