Very bullish options action today with over 60,000 contracts on April $15 Call that expires this week and only 37,000 April $14 Puts. AA appears to be halted as of now in the after hour. There's a couple of trade ideas depending on the AH formation. So, let's see... aa01.gif

Alcoa revenue debunking the "myth" a bit. I doubt that 10 cents satisfies those trained to expect more, either.

I have the whisper number @ $0.14, so we'll see...

10 c I guess... still a beat... AA earnings are always a sign of things to come... Market is trading it flat though... Pretty ambiguous start to this season souelle

Missed low on consensus revenue, missed low on earnings or tied at the very best-not ambiguos to me. Demand isn't there.

Consensus was 9 cents earnings came in at 10 outside of ex items (they took a 200M write-down on April 5th)... aluminum prices are up for the quarter... markets are trading it flat...

Sounds like a slanted reading to me... That's about as ambiguous an earnings report as they come i.e if it was so unambiguous why is the market trading it even?

No demand... What will companies do next to boost their bottom line, more layoffs??? Not to worry though, the consensus says a double dip is off the table...

Not my table... Not only that it's not off my table, but it's almost a necessity for the market to crash and test the lows one more time before the commencement of a legit bull market. The only question I have is WHEN, and I do now know that. A guesstimate, based on my voodoo reading, would render the year 2012.

This thing's deader than a door nail... I'm gonna let it pass. Couldn't even get excited about putting on option spreads. Have a great evening everyone.
