yesterday, the worst of the worst rallied...and hard. Speculation is there. They got the dow to close over 11,000 on fumes.

I played the dead cat bounce around Nov 08 when it dropped below a buck. Bought a few K FNM at .36, pennies from the low and sold in the .70s. Almost shorted ABK this AM but too focused on staying disciplined.

How did you see this guy? Was it on a percentage gain list or do you follow a bunch of low prices stuff like this? Would have been a great spin of the roulette wheel on the first pop. Hope you took it.yesterday, the worst of the worst rallied...and hard. Speculation is there. They got the dow to close over 11,000 on fumes.

Thanks for pointing it out. Opens my eyes to a whole new casino game.

Actually I wondering about some kind of technical trigger for these cheap thrills. For instance, I just ran a scan. Would anyone in his right mind buy these guys on the close?dg - abk, fnm, fre tom posted yesterday - these were $70 stocks before the meltdown - they are made of MBS, so there you go - there was an announcement yest on ambacf about some liability hanging over them was resolved in their favor - remember the IPPs back in 2003 - same kinda thing.
