I have often wondered as to how (what shape) the RUT monthly top would take. One probability is the CMG shape, compared here on the 240. What cannot be denied is the similarity of the 2 in terms of what was seen as massive un sale-able strength reversing hard and climatically. Will volatility die down and we cruise to a slightly lower price from here and then consolidate? I give it a reasonable chance, and if so, our pattern might look like this.

The CMG break to new highs is more of a FAKER to me. We were in a bull, the float is low, all manipulation and will be completely retraced, JMHO. Besides the move up is telegraphed from a mile away. Every other momo triangle has broke up, since Sept. No news there. No experienced bear would have stayed short the FAKE OUT.

RUT might play out like this as well. Just a thought. Maybe consolidate trend up a bit that takes us into the next NFP which is good #'s and turns into a bloodbath....?

I would rather it just blow out volatility and just murder every bull straight down. Unfortunately, I don't think that is highest probability. I can dream, can't I?

I'm confused. Which one is the apple? Which one is the orange?

"If you've heard this story before, don't stop me because I'd like to hear it again," Groucho Marx (on market history?).

“I've learned in options trading simple is best and the obvious is often the most elusive to recognize.”

"The god of trading rewards persistence, experience and discipline, and absolutely nothing else."

well, I am just thinking out loud...

but just to clarify... one similarity in my opinion is this: they are both worthless or near worthless pieces of paper upon which we take more worthless pieces of paper ie. ($$) and engage in a video game. One is 2000 stocks, the other 1 stock.

in this video game, given the sudden reversal in fortune/sentiment of some, one might be inclined to wonder if one will play out similar to how the other played out. This is of at least some value if one is planning to be in a position for a while. again, not a scientific post, just wondering what happens if, when donkeys fly, do they ever touch down again or just hover lower?

I think lower, just how it gets there... everybody knows that above +2 sig on the fattest monthly bands EVER is a BUY right?
