NY Fed extends their open market operations until 11:45 EST because of volatility caused by the comments on the Japanese situation.

Oh i thought it was the market reaction to the FED cancelling their Operation... thus test the markets integrity...
then ... after the drop come back out and reschedule their Operation..
just shows me what kind of Craziness is going on behind the scene .

they're juggling to many plates.... somethings going to crash.

What does it mean when the BB flare?

Bollinger Bands - A chart overlay that shows the upper and lower limits of 'normal' price movements based on the Standard Deviation of prices.

Many times when price moves to the upper or lower BB, price will reverse.
However when the BBs "flare" they begin to widen out, often indicating thrusting action will follow the flare.
