.............is kidding everyone in europe. They have fired 70,000 state employees just to hire them all again now. This is how they intend to overcome their economic deficit. They are doing what the south of italy (maybe) has done (and is still doing) in the last 150 years. After all Magna Graecia was a greek colony and everyone has his own costumes. This is just to explain why there is no solution to the european crisis. The solution is dividing the good from the bad starting in italy.

tria, (and this is just a little example of the infinite number of laughable situations we are facing here) there are 40,000 state employees in calabria, very south of italy, whose job is to take care of the calabrian forests. But in calabria there are no known forests. This thing is criminal but what is even more criminal is that the people of North-italy seem to accept this as inevitable, because that part of (maybe) italy is like that. Depending on me, but it's just me and a mere 35% of people of Northern italy, they would be fired tomorrow morning and probably they would wake up and find italy divided in three even much before. Democratically obiously. Enough is enough like G.W.B. said a while ago on tv. BTW the germans are 100% right when they say they don' t want to pay for the others. Living in so called italy I understand them. The medicine is firing all the state employees that are useless and are seen just as a tank of votes on elections, but are a weight that a liberal country can' t afford. Nepotism kills the economy. And I don' t think that nepotism is accepted in angle-saxon countries, which explains to you the difference.

BTW........I know what you are trying to say. It's the same they say in sicily-calabria-apulia-campania every time an election is held. But.........eventually, after the elections, no one is fired. That said personally I wish you all the best and singularly to you tria, all the very best, but don' t forget that doing like this by everyone in europe, europe itself would disintegrate in less than a minute.

..........In the euro 2012 football game, I support Portugal. A nice little country that I look at with simphaty

And I know what you are saying andr99, and in most of your comments you hit the nail on the head. For example 10,000 Greeks were collecting for ages the pentions of deceased relatives, who if still alive would be 120 years old!!! Only recently did they decide to check out if the beneficiaries were still alive. In a village in Evia, 40% of the population was collecting benefits for being blind!!! A public-doctor who was certifying of their condition, was apparently getting quite rich.

BTW, why do you not support Italy to win the euro 2012? I thought you were Italian.
If you are, my compliments for sending the Brits back home.

because italy is a not-country and my own country is the North Eastern Region called Veneto the capital of which is named Venice and which I belong to. A Republic that remained indipendent and free for 1,000 years until a basta..rd named Napoleon who was French just by passport, given that his true name was Napoleone Buonaparte, born to italian parents, subdued it thanks to the army of a nation, France that had a large number of millions of inhabitants more than us that are just four millions. My ancestors were those that blocked the Turkish advance into Europe at Lepanto (1571)- 60% of the Turkish fleet sent to the fishes just in three hours thanks to their ships named Galeazze making fire on four sides (built by Venice naval industry) and those that defeated the italians at Lissa (1866) and despite of that were annexed to italy the same by international treaties -last land to be annexed to italy. Maybe you know them because they destroyed the Parthenon in Athens given that the Turks had stored there their artillery munitions thinking we would have respected the history of the place. My apologies for that, but we couldn' t do anything else. Should I support the thieves of italy and rome which we have been given for free by the French ? NEVER.

Strong but very enlightening feelings andr99, which have my respect.
I thank your ancestors for building many magnificent castles in my Country, such as the one in Nafpactos.

The old Venetian castle and the Venetian port, one of the best ports in the Mediterranean Sea, are very impressive. In this port the naval battle of Nafpaktos took place, when the Turkish armada was destroyed. (1571).
