Congratulations on your idea and your patience!
Thanks DIVOT. Today feels really good....fundamentally it played out as expected...I was also lucky that this was one of those
momentum Netflix type stocks that go up forever until the trendline breaks on a revenue miss (usually) or some other piece of bad news. And when it does the bottom just falls out because are the trend buyers disappear and big blocks start dumping into air on downgrades.
Now it's time to use that money on SPY puts. Today looks like the beginning of the move to 1230ish I'm hoping for over the coming weeks.

I'm glad this piece of crap is finaly dieing and there is someone there to make money on it.
These idiotic momentum parabolas are such a pain in the butt.
RIMM, FSLR, NFLX, CRM, GMCR, I can name dozens of them over the years. Some gave up, some are yet to give up.
Those overpriced and overrated tacos have caused me some pain back in the day. Glad you cashing in on it.
Thanks ogm.

You could call it idiotic parabola or whatever you want to. But those who rode that baby, even a small part of it, from 40 to 400 (1000%) are the one's who can be placed in the category of smart traders. Even the most intelligent bear who shorts it right near the top and rides it zero would only make 100%. Their food ain't so bad (unless one was short from 40

Call it whatever you want, but I only trade these momentum stocks from one side. I may get hurt once in a while, but playing the game of musical chairs where the last "smart trader" is left holding a big steaming bag of crap, isn't my game. To each his own.
I'd rather stick to boring dividend paying stocks like DLR, for investment purposes. Even though that one is turning into momentum train too.
As for % returns... I doubt anyone rode this from 40 to 400. and it took a long time to ride. And if you were short and timed it right, you'd be making 25% in one day now, and if you played options, even more. I'll take 25% in one day vs holding an obvious pile of crap in hopes of making more on a greater fool theory any day.

That's why I used puts on these...the payoff on catching momentum stocks near highs shortly before they implode is enormous.

Some of the July options are up like 8000% today...I didn't have those because I got mine a while back for September strikes. but even September ones were up 5-6x this morning.
