I am <pinning> this spx chart here for future reference, as I believe it has big implications for $gold's direction

Let's call it the "808 Fractal."

For those familiar with Wolfe Waves, note the telescoping tiers of 5-wave formations indicated in orange --almost perfect regressions !

Beauty and Truth is in numbers

thanks tria, that series implies next P/E of ... 5 ?

Here's a very interesting analysis of the USD/gold/bonds/equities correlation that forecasts gold and equities will finally DECOUPLE:

http://kingworldnews...6_Equities.html

Mega-trendline going back to 1932 looks quite compelling. If this scenario is correct, S&P p/e of 5 may be quite realistic.

This scenario intuitively makes sense, if we see a major bond sell-off that results in PMs becoming the new safe haven, but decimates most equities due to lower earnings

For this to play out, I believe that banks (XLF) would have to be in serious trouble

If gold/equities part ways, will be interesting to see which way miners go ... GDX 44 is key here

... Actually that SPX 850 target on Peter Lee's 80-year SPX chart is something I've been thinking about. Last time I actively traded markets was 2008-2009 when I shorted the waterfall decline -- and exited shorts @ 875 on july 8 just before SPX exploded to the upside. Based on the price/momentum/volume structure, I've always thought that we would revisit that 850 level again ...
