The US has long been guilty of favouring dictators oveer democracy.

And then citizens wonder why the USA is not liked.

Watch the history of USA and Iran.

Your link doesn't work here but no matter since soon the Iran and the USA will likely be in a very exclusive club together.

The United Nations passed its FIRST GLOBAL ARMS TREATY today regulating the multi-billion-dollar international arms trade with overwhelming backing from its member nations. One hundred and fifty-four nations signed onto the treaty and only three refused to sign. The USA signed the treaty but it still has to be approved by the U.S. by 67 votes where it's widely believed it will be blocked by Republican senators (in a preliminary vote it was defeated largely along party lines earlier despite a margin of 57 for and 43 against). So soon, despite the enmity between the USA and Iran, those two countries will be brothers-in-arms (so to speak) in a four-person family that also includes only Syria and North Korea.

As Kurt Vonnegut used to say "so it goes..."

"If you've heard this story before, don't stop me because I'd like to hear it again," Groucho Marx (on market history?).

“I've learned in options trading simple is best and the obvious is often the most elusive to recognize.”

"The god of trading rewards persistence, experience and discipline, and absolutely nothing else."

The US has this paranoid attitude.

Sure, I can understand a sense of independence, but the US borders on paranoia plus!

Yes, the nation was born from religious radicals.

These people were pretty much irrational and scared of any other views.

While most of the world has a live and let live attitude, so many in the US are buiding bunkers or hoarding weapons etc.

It is the craziest society I know of.

What if those N. Korean Missiles get pointed your way? Who are you going to look to for protection against them? Think your hot customer China is going to run to your rescue? No, it will be US missile technology protecting you...

You can't use your human logic based reasoning attempts to predict the behavior of people who either think they are (Place Deity Name Here) or directly connected to it on Earth... So you want to talk about paranoid, there's paranoia.

Semi

You don't get it.

The missiles aren't pointed my way and so I don't need protection.

Why?

Because I don't get on an ant hill and scratch my feet up and down.

I don't poke at wasp nests or bee hives.

Why does the USA think it needs hundreds of armed bases around the world, poking their finger in other nation's business?

The result is the recipients get angry. DOH!!!!!!

Exactly!

Because Australia insists on aligning itself with every US military action, it is now branded as a US sunsidiary.

Serves us right.

So instead of whining about the US, get off your @SS and do something about it in your own country. Otherwise you are just another US Ally and those N. Korean Nukes could just as easily be pointed at you. Or you could just simply move to N. Korea, take your pick.
