Closed all shorts at SPX 1576. Took a huge loss...almost gave back April gain..but not all of it!!!!I will not go long unless we break and close SPX 1584.4 I will try to make it up and hopefully soon!!! I was wrong in taking a short position too early on!!!went stricktly with the technicals and not my own system. Big lesson learned this time..... Trade safe and all the best!!!
Market always leads, you have to be dynamic and manage risk accordingly.

If you make profit trading, take the money out and enjoy it before Wall Street steals it back from you!!!!!

Sorry for your loss and thanks for posting it publicly which is always hard to do.

went strictly with the technicals and not my own system

I'm confused...what's the difference? Are you saying that your system is not technically oriented?

Fib,

First, thanks for your positive comment!!! Second, No, my proprietary system generates only timing signal based on cycles (Gann, harmonics, and astrology and has no technical analysis associated with it such as RSI, MACD, BB, FIb, Elliot Wave etc..I went short based on my own chart, FIb and Elliott wave analysis after we broke SPX 1539.5.

Hope I was able to answer your question and thanks again!!!

" Elliot Wave etc" I was viewing the Elliott count as an irregular flat in several indexes, which-so far, so good. It had a nice percentage chance of playing out in a market trending this hard. By the way, certain indexes hit the "B" wave projection (acquired by using by proper fibs in an irregular flat) right on the number. Others missed both the B and C waves by a mere pittance. Sorry about your trade, put it in the rear view mirror.
