I've got calls... I don't care if it crashes as the calls were paid for with house money. But I'm really wondering why there's no C word... I do not think we can crash here. Crashes occur with ever increasing downside, and we're not.. though that may come later. Sentiment doesn't really match a crash either. So the only two options left for me is moving sideways or up.

what's scary to me is this board is starting to resemble a meeting of BPA (bottom pickers anonymous) .

Its called a pullback on monthly chart ;) Now if the monthly tred REVERSES after a few month of volatility.. then we're in real trouble.

I think timewise we are close to some kind of a bottom. But the question is what price will that bottom be ? Will the market really spike down ? But frankly unless we really go down under 1350 and preferably under 1320, I'm not expecting much price wise.

The drift down-much more potent than a crash.

HEAR HEAR...Agree and way too confident. " I'm playing with house money". We earn every penny in this very difficult game. Once you make the money it's YOURS...Keep it! It's all about money management.

That wasn't a crash. It's not even out of the channel. It hasn't even hit the August lows. October 16-19, 1987...now THAT was a crash. If you weren't there for that, you have no idea. For all the kudos to a certain poster including the one I made myself, "for the record" THAT was not a crash, at least not yet. So far, that was just another downward move of which we've now had three within the last 5 months.

Agreed. A "crash" by definition, is not something you can "call." Posters predicting crashes remind me of the "dumb money" posts on yahoo. Especially when they do it with no chart to back up their "call". Of course, I have yet to see a responsible TA chart that shows a coming crash and I do not expect to ever see one.

That is what I've always seen this coming bear to be. The fundamental nature of the underlying issues don't lend themselves to a "crash" but, a "death by a thousand cuts" as I've posted in the past ad nauseum. And yes, that will ultimately be more damaging than a "crash." LT. The good news ST, in my opinion is the ST trading volitility will be fantastic.
