futures are leading us to a higher open. CAUTION...futures are expecting a 50 bp cut. unless we get more than that (highly unlikely, when was the last time???) we're heading for a down turn towards 1:15. Just my thoughts.

When exactly will the rate cut be announced? Which day? Thanks.

As far as I am concerned. IT IS CRAZY TO THINK THAT WE ARE GOING TO RATE CUT. I do not think that we are going to hear anything on rate cut. All right I will just have to wait and see but I am totally amused by some of posting pattern on the site tonight. I haven't visited here for a while except a couple of days ago to post expecting a support. Done GOOD NITE!!

Your visits and especially your critiques of the posters are always a treat. Buhbye.

TS...
your last chart posting indicated you believed in a support at xxx...don't know but remember the chart. a monthly right? well yes we still have held that support, but an macro economic event (such as a lower than expected us rate cut) will cert put us into a freefall towards the aug lows. our whole market thesis will need to be revisited upon a move such as that. any comments on this??? we have guys making very accurate closing calls looking for market cuts up to 75 bp's. i mean, this is just as bad as throwing the dice...

Don't really understand your thinking. Fed meeting is not tomorrow, just a Ben speach. I'd put the chance of an emergency rate cut during that speach somewhere between slim and none-and slim just left town.

The scheduled meeting is on Jan 29 /30. That's when we are getting the cut.
