Afterall, its all about money.
When do deception occurs the most? When you see breadth not synchronized with price. This can go on for a while before the deceptors are fully loaded up and want to take it in the profitable direction.
Back in october, there was massive deception as the ndx was propped up by 4 stocks.
Now, the market is in reverse as breadth is strong while prices are being pushed down.
Is this the bottom? No, but we're darn close to it.
Also, deception often occurs during low liquidity times when the market can be moved easily by traders.
Sometimes that occurs end of day like yesterday's short covering, sometimes it occurs pre-open like today's opening.
Good luck all, and be strong hands, not weak ones.
Deception...

Breadth is strong ?

% of breadth drop compared to % of price drop don't equate.
It means while price has been taking a dump, people have been buying, though not in a way that would push the indices up.
Thats my take on it anyways.
Don't worry, I don't think DA BOTTOM is here, but a bear market rally should last more than what we had.

Deception? How about subprime?
In March? it was... that's silly.
In August? it's a small problem, but we have a strong economy.
Now? Every man for himself.

Xerxes: Come Leonidas, let us reason together. It would be a regrettable waste. It would be nothing short of madness for you, brave king, and your valiant troops to perish. All because of a simple misunderstanding. There is much our cultures could share.
