when I gave $6 target for AMD while it was trading at $27 back in Sept 2006, some geniuses couldnt conceive of it ... Now I have a target for intel too... Intel will break below 2002 bear market lows in a year.... That must be somewhere around 13

Just a thought, but if Intell and Apple have good stories tonmorrow, it could blow the doors off st. Internally and technically, there is nothing prohibiting a bounce in here.

Well, you are comparing Apples with Chips here but, as far as Intel goes, my suggestion is if it does have good numbers, take it as a shorting gift. I expect corporations to be scaling down their IT budgets and that will affect Intel. Apple announced today that their negotiations with China Mobile to sell iphones fell through due to disagreements on China Mobile's take in the sales. All things considered, including the maturation of ipod sales and especially their chart, they may be peaking out too.

I know what you mean and it's definitely, of course, a valid short term possibility. The "comparing apples to chips" line, while true, was just too hard for me to pass up. :P

I agree with you on shorting INTC. I belive it will fill its gap at 24 before dying. What is important now is what runs the Internet. Computers do not need hard fast chips to do that. But they can do it with cheaper AMD chips or some other competitor that may come out as a result of consolidation that is going to happen.

Cell phones will become portable computers very soon. In order to do that you will need a large screen. A new hot sector will be embedded projectors in cell phones. Companies like TI, 3M and MVIS are working on it.

Yeah, MVIS is a big one in this area. I got a guy at work follows this one.
