Here we go, the week should start off interesting with intraday RSI quickly becoming overbought due to the bounce we got. Notice the Russell still finished down. I am still expecting the break to be to the downside, but we can not ignore the possibility that there may be some news out there that is capable of starting a 50% retrace to the 660 level. I do no think that will start for another two weeks if it is to happen. PSI may need to go to an oversold state before a good rally starts. We may be close to getting a move up in the VIX from here now.

You're right and there was very little notice on Friday afternoon of the Russell's negative close.

It's going down for now.

I like to watch the direction of the VIX:SPX ratios' 20 ema. It's also headed down which is bullish.

You may be right, Roger, but I'm struck by the sudden blast upwards in INDU and SPX late Friday but with no corresponding dump on the VIX chart. It's odd.

:)

You fellows might wont to take a look at the charts I posted on the SWING WAVES BOARD as to what might be suggested by VXO.
Let me be very clear about the size reduction of charts, it takes away some of the detail and distorts the patterns to some degree.

This no joking matter.

Ditto on the chart complaint, but I think they may be doing it to save on bandwidth as google may not pay enough to make it worthwhile for a good site like this at this point.

Tea, I would have expected VXO to drop to the dotted line. My question would be: why didn't it?

How would I know why it didn't? .....and why would you expect it to drop further? What difference does it make and what point are you trying to make?

ES rose .0226% and VXO dropped .0515% for the move............why would you expect it to drop further?
