Just pull a dow chart up and see for yourself. everyone caling a bottom, and down trend line still in place. seems premature to me.

when it does break to the upside( if it does) it is basically to late at that point the buy because bear mkts turn once they get the confirmation buyers loaded up.

using the 2001-20002 template i am thinking we break above es 1340....get the confirmation buyers to drive it up 60 more points to 1400 and then she turns and
starts to head down again... it will dance around the 1400 area for a while and get the ma's turned back up before it clobbers them

thats kind of what the paradigm was for the last bear

Everyone calling a bottom? Seems to me that the board has been very bearish for quite some time with just a little vocalization last two days from the bulls that we may get some up action. Take a look at the FF sentiment polls for the last several months and count the number of days the majority was bullish. You will find folks have been decidedly bearish. A single down day will turn this board bearish again - which is where the underlying sentiment really is and has been for all the years I've been on it.

I'm seeing stuff that says look for weakness on Monday, BUT, the weekly MACD turned up and the daily did too. In context, that's an early warning of a buy. I don't have a Summation buy, however, and that would be a key element. I'd say that shorting near term is certainly a reasonable play and in fact we may try it on Monday or even Sunday night, if we don't eat too much. M
