I have seen numerous posts calling volume to be on the light side, which finally galvanized me to post some data on this subject. I have obsoletely no idea where others look at data, but, my own data shows that volume is growing exponentially, as it has been, since 1940s with only several declines during bear market years. I would suspect when volume starts declining, it will signal the end of the bull market that started in 1946.

Stats for reference:

NYSE VOLUME(all sources) First 12 weeks Beg Year

2008--------251 billion
2007--------132 billion
2006----------84 billion

This data clearly shows that not only is volume increasing, it is surging.

"Figures don't lie, but lyres figure". ?? However at this forum when they talk of "volume" I suspect it is in context of VST volume numbers.
