also look at the share price, maybe a bit more correction to come, but I think this product rocks. Kids love it.

My kids wanted a wii.. I bought them a PS3 instead. In about 2 years, my decision will be proven right. But for now, I am in the house of pain as I have to listen to them play American Idol. I think Mario tennis or the like would've been quieter.

Some day you'll learn. Don't ever try to outguess your kids. Sell the stinkin' PS3 - buy the Wii. Its entirely better, can be physical, good for eye/hand, and to boot the military uses it for re-hab. at Walter Reed. For gosh sakes the military personnel love this thing !

What are u trying to prove ? 2 years for what ? Proven Right about what ? You could get 2 years out of enjoyment WITH them now. With your kids ! if you bought the Wii. There are many games on it that adults absolutely love !

Your kids are out there now telling their friends what a dork you are. Trust me on this. I listen to my kids talk and hear their conversations with friends all the time. There are two big dorks for dads in the 'hood right now, and if you hear what the kids say, they are right. You don't want to be one of them.

You are obviously a good trader. Use the proceeds and buy one. Sell the PS3 on ebay or keep it as a back up if you think you are right for some reason. A few hundred bucks is peanuts for a trader like you.

You go to disney and spend 5 grand for a few days of fun. Then its over. Buy a wii for 500 bucks and you will get years of enjoyment for both you and your kids and its a great way to bond. They have 4 controllers you can get and play many multiple player games. Plus you can play games against others when you hook it through the internet. Up to 11 players. Its awesome.

This is the only parental advice I will ever give on this board or anywhere. I'm in my mid 40's and this one area (maybe the only) I know about parenting. ;)

Hmm you don't know my video game history. I've owned a console since the original pong came out. There's nothing special about the Wii except the software. The software is keen because of the controller. Can the same software and controllers be made for the PS3? Yup. Like I said, give it a few years, Wii will fade into history. Kids are playing american idol, rock band, and ddr. I think they can do without mario tenis.

As technology improves, wii will only get better. your going to see this puppy in many baby boomer senior households and nursing homes. quite the accomplishment, conisdering there are more baby boomers than any other gen set.

We have had a wii for over 1 year and I posted about how great I thought it was when we first got it. Unfortunately the kids will lose interest in it if they are over 10. The xbox is the one and only game system the older kids crave. This fits with the social networking craze as kids on xbox meet up online and play against each other. It is weird, no more going to your friends house for video games just meet up online. Older kids don't play wii it is great for little guys. I liked it at first but would rather go out and play real tennis. I actually thought the wii hurt my game as the timing is slightly different.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.
