Sad to say -- good, experienced airline people out of Denver -- but impossible conditions.

sad indeed esp. about the CC Co. OTOH, it has been said that in order to compete with the airlines that wiped clean their balance sheets in an earlier bankruptcy, airlines that havent gone through it will chose to do so now. this makes a lot of sense to me, and i think we could see it in other industries as well.
but this quote is puzzling: Of 6,000 employees — 5,000 in Denver — there are about 710 pilots, more than 1,000 flight attendants and more than 300 mechanics. Well, the folks flying the plane number about 2000, c. 1/3 the airline personnel, that sounds pretty inefficient to me, I mean c. 4000 left over - how many checkin and ticket agents could they have?
best,

dasein: my sadness is for my airline-employed neighbors, good folks, who have much Frontier stock in their retirement accounts. They do not want to hear about market inefficiencies this morning.
spook: thanks, I appreciate it.
