Do they still use curbs ?

Yes, they do. The first one is 10% in the Dow. See the following link:

I believe he's bullish stocks.. he's stated plenty of times he's carrying a buttload of financials still... though whether he really did dump those futures on the day he posted that he did, only he would know. My impression is that he's looking for curbs to the upside.

There are no curbs on the upside. Only on the downside. You gotta read that link.

Well there are program trading curbs that go in.. unless they tossed that lately. Forgot what level they used to kick in at (if its gone), but it was after so many hundred points, not like 10%.

"Trading collars" were ended late last year.

I believe they were removed in October-the casino is in full operation mode.

Just so there is no confusion, trading collars ended in October. Circuit breakers are still in effect. You can access them in the link I gave above. The first circuit breaker is 10% in the Dow on the downside. There is no upside circuit breaker.
