From my post below, we can see that the largest volume spikes in a multi-year move are around turning points. If you superimpose these volume spikes and lows over indicators, like MACD, the results are powerful. (1 chart)

Look at site www.markevolume.com a paid site. Look at the Russell 3000 live demo first. I trade volume as part of my regime. There is a good literature on the topic and, yes, it does correlate well with buying and price with appropriate lags. Islander.
