Humpty Dollar is having a big fall...

We have the Feds out here spending the national treasure trying to prop the dollar up, politicians calling for repealing gas taxes...

They both think this will give consumers a break at the pump...

Meanwhile, crude just keeps on making new highsPosted Image

We'll just go broke trying.

These things have a way of seeking their own levels....

Eventually the consumer will crack, the parabola breaks and it's over.

But not with any help from these CLOWNS....

The consumer has already cracked...sales are declining on a real basis. CL prices have very little to do with the US right now. Demand is exploding overseas even at these prices. Supply has been stagnant to slightly declining despite record drilling. These statements are factual. The funny part is so many people only are considering the US for CL prices--especially US inventories. Traders are running the price up not because of inventories--but because of the global supply and demand balance. They are running the price up in an effort to maintain a level that keeps US inventories adequate or filled.

Saw my neighbors wife with a new scooter the other day. Darn, nobody believes in walking to the corner grocery store anymore (Super Target). Time: < 7 minutes walking.

FWIW I think that the officials are significantly overstating US demand....it's headed south and has been for months.

And unless you think that Bear Stearns was just an "isolated" cockroach... there are always plenty more coming... As I said mentioned in March, I expect one of these investor/broker failures per quarter. So, Who's next?

How much of our national treasure will they stake to keep this charade going? What is the matter with letting them fail? Even the US Treasury has it's limits...
