reality starts to bite again as detail devils swarm in

this will be the most "interesting times" weekend i can remember, ever. all the voices are starting to be heard from all over the land. i won't post links since you see plenty already. my query: what are the significant points of question and detail you hear from the talking heads you follow and the media you read and watch. these folks will be the ones who will gum up the works. i heard one well respected and widely followed northeastern commentator say this: "why don't they stop talking and blaming and just come up with a quick fix?" this indicates to me how little the influential folks in the media and congress really understand about the scope and depth of the issues. there IS NO QUICK FIX. and the fed and treasury will always be behind the curve because they can't start trying to fix a problem until it gets serious and then it is too late. for instance, these bank runs and money safety alarms have ALREADY deeply scared and scarred many americans. what do you hear that stands out? the web may be the only place now to get a dose of reality! case on point: there were a record number of visitors at one time here at TT on friday.

You are certainly right about thr the Media gumming up the works.. I was watching a newa show yesterday where the host was pounding this economic adviser for details on fixing the problem. Then when he said there was a six point plan and started to explain it in detail the host cut him off after he just got stared on detail 2 and said wrap it up quick "we only have a few seconds for this". This is the mass insanity that has taken control of our media. Anyone who says that he needs to take time and think about any problem his labeled as weak an indecisive. It's all about "gut feeling" and direct conversation with a higher power. This problem is so complex that it should take months just to begin to understand the debt of it much less how to fix it now that they have finally admitted how bad things really are.
