These golf pro's are amazing. They have to earn every dollar. There are no cushy multi year contracts. It is strictly performance in each tournament.

It was easy without that Big Ryder Cup choke artist Tiger Woods.

Having lived in the UK for 10 years, the Ryder Cup has been revelation. You have no idea how big it is in Britian where an opportunity to beat the "yanks" at something is relished. The shellacking the Americans took at the last venue was shocking and a big wake up call. I am glad to see someone like Paul Azinger get it right and it was about time. I played at the local course every week year round, often twice per week for 10 years there. We rarely if ever played for strokes, it was always a match, 2 or 4 ball when the numbers accomodated. There is so much strategy in match play that enters the game, and the Americans unfortunately often miss key aspects. But this year they got many things right. The overriding factor is always the level of play. It was outstanding on both sides, even though the U.S. won handily. And that is a good thing because when they were handed such a big loss in 2006, I wondered if the event would suffer. There is nothing in the world of gold like the Ryder Cup IMO. Nothing approaches this competition when the level of golf is at the standard seen this weekend. The only other venue that holds a candle to the Ryder Cup is the Masters. cheers, john P.S. Tiger Woods is the best golfer this world has ever seen. The Brits have been somewhat jealous of his game over the years and can complain about his demeanor (call it his game face), but they very much respect what he can do. Tiger appears not to be that motivated by team play, but pushes himself to the limits when he needs to. Witness his performance at the WGC match play event this year. He was incredible.

What happens when an Oklahoma Sooner teams up with an Oklahoma State Cowboy?

Yep. They win the Ryder Cup.

Former OU golfer Anthony Kim and former OSU golfer Hunter Mahan.

Not in the Ryder Cup. There is no prize money, just prestige.

US greatest weapon this time was the Europe captain Faldo. He's never been a team player, so didn't understand the impact of the order of his last day picks. US got momentum at the top of the list, it filtered down to the next group of 4, so by the time our top 4 players started their rounds, it was almost irrecoverable.

She said "Drop dead," then left with another guy.
