In a post below I read this: "There is a silent bank run going on. There are no lines in the street, but it is a run nevertheless. It is large investment funds and corporations quietly pulling their money from some of the best banks in the country." That reminded me of several news stories and personal friends who have said: "I bought a gun and withdrew cash from the bank." "I have stockpiled some food." "I have closed my brokerage accounts." "I closed my bank savings account." Have you done any of the above or something similar?

Good post roger.

I have converted the garden into an allotment to grow my own food. energy is being connected to a local stream, which is shared by a few of us.

I have decidd to buy solar panels. I am going to make my house totally self sufficient and not dependent on anything.

my stock accounts are fine, and am leaving them aND they can go to zero as far as i care as i believe in capitalism being part of human nature and a form of population control.

this is all determined by the legal framework, and that has not been altered by fannie and freddie.

Personally I have been hoarding cash since 9/11/01. Currently, I am looking for a larger tin can to put it all in. Sadly, the tin can may eventually be the only thing of value. <_<

You should've converted that cash into coins. At least its metal and you can melt it down into a plow or a sword if need be  But you can use the paper bills to fuel the fire for the melting ;)
