Barney Frank, as Democrat, is head of the House Financial Services Committee. Ironically he has been the biggest cheerleader over the years of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He also happens to be the biggest cheerleader of the Paulson plan.

DC, Im not short the market and i polled as a bull but that has nothing to do with this issue- we should be enraged that such a serious matter was presented with only one solutiion shotgunned down a bunch of non experts concerned foremost with gtting reelected. as I said, they should have sent out an RFP and had expert counsel before making a decision, not fear-mongering emotions - imagine trading on such princiles - you will lose. time we do something to retrieve our democracy.

Now herein lies the problem. Many think this is a democracy, that the actions they are taking are preventive, not reactive. As I've been saying all this time, THIS WAS IN THE ROADMAP YEARS AGO.

Nothing you do as an individual can stop whats going on. I've said it before that the entire world is like one big living organism. This organism has eaten too much chocolate cake, and the reaction is to throw up. Sure you may say 'wait a minute, I paid good $ for that cake, I don't want it to go to waste'. But it sure tasted good when it went down, and you will feel a lot better afterwards.. for a short time... before you see the mess you made.

This organism, made of many individuals as 'cells' barely has intelligence.. its like a jellyfish floating in the sea. It reacts to stuff, grows old, dies, then is reborn.

The polls can be 1000:1 against it, it will still pass. It was written as history long before history came to pass. Now you see how screwed up this is? Do you see that we are headed to WW3 and nothing can be done about it?
