This isn't Technical, and I haven't done a through analysis, but a lot of company stock is below their book value. I'm amazed corporations are NOT buying for treasury stock?

you have to be careful with financial institutions idea of book value - those assets are loans and sometimes investments - right now théy are not being valued realistically because it is not possible to do so across the board, and there will be more writeoffs. also check out what is goodwill, this covers a lot of sins.
